Alohomora Education is a young not-for-profit initiated with the vision of empowering children to realize their immense innate potential.
The founders are from IIT Madras, IIM Lucknow and Univ of Michigan. However, instead of pursuing a career in the corporate world, they chose to work with children from under-resourced communities and work at the grassroots. Both the founders are Teach for India Alumni and have more than 9 years of collective experience in the education and learning space.
Their flagship program ANALP (Alohomora new-age leadership program) is 2 year, student owned career readiness program for students enrolled in senior secondary classes (11 & 12). It is designed to empower children with the information, skills and mindset to take ownership of their learning and career path. With digital literacy and life skills at the heart of the program, the program aspires to enable students to reach and become successful in the vocations of their choice.
They also organize student led conferences called Children for Change to enable student voice and their involvement in solving for social issues. It brings together students and stakeholders from school, community and civil society organizations to interact and learn from each other.
